Embiid's Knee Injury: Reassessment Scheduled for Saturday

Since returning from surgery to repair a torn meniscus on April 2, Embiid has been a key player, averaging 30.4 points per game in 30.6 minutes of play. The 76ers faced difficulties without Embiid, dropping to the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference. However, since his return, they have won all five games and climbed to sixth place.


With a crucial game against the Brooklyn Nets to close out the season on Sunday, securing the No. 6 seed and avoiding the play-in tournament is within reach for the 76ers. Having Embiid on the court for this important match is essential, making Nurse's assessment of his injury particularly reassuring.

The 76ers are currently enjoying a seven-game winning streak. Their final regular-season game is against the Brooklyn Nets. There's a possibility they'll rest Embiid to ensure he's fully prepared and healthy for the play-in tournament. If they secure a win and both Orlando and Indiana lose their last games, they could potentially enter the playoffs without needing the play-in, which would greatly improve their position.
