Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro may end his prolonged absence by returning to the court on Friday evening against the Houston Rockets (38-38). Herro has been sidelined for the past 20 games due to knee and foot injuries. Prior to his injuries, the Heat star showcased impressive performances, scoring more than 22 points in three of his last five matchups. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, there is optimism surrounding Herro's potential return tonight against the Rockets.

Herro's offensive prowess is poised to bolster the lineup, particularly during the postseason. This deficiency was evident in the Heat's recent loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, where Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo only managed to combine for 34 points. In contrast, the Sixers' duo of Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey totaled 66 points.

The Heat's demanding schedule continues unabated until they face the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse Arena on Sunday. This upcoming matchup is arguably the most crucial amidst a challenging stretch, as the Pacers are vying for the No. 6 seed. A victory for the Heat in this game could propel them out of contention for the Play-In Tournament, securing a direct playoff spot. Despite their remarkable run from the Play-In stage to the NBA Finals last season, ensuring a secure playoff berth remains a paramount objective for the team.
