Jimmy Butler injury status updated after missing shootaround

Jimmy Butler has been a stud for the Miami Heat, however, there is a slight chance he may not play tonight as he missed the team's shootaround earlier in the day.

According to Clutch Points, the Miami Heat and Butler are supposed to play the Philadelphia 76ers tonight. However, earlier in the day, Butler was not present as the team did its customary shootaround, per Ira Winderman.

Considering the fact that the Heat are in a tight race for a playoff spot, this was a pretty concerning revelation. However, there is at least some good news here for the Heat. On the official injury report, Butler was listed as probable. Moreover, he missed shootaround due to a personal issue. This issue was undisclosed, although it seems as though Butler is still preparing to play tonight.






The Miami Heat are currently sixth in the Eastern Conference and have a record of 42-33. Typically, they are a team that comes alive in the postseason, so fans aren't too worried. That said, they will need Butler healthy if they want any chance of making it through each round.
