Unexpected Addition: Veteran Center Joins OKC Thunder's Lineup
Thunder and Bismack Biyombo Reach Agreement for Remainder of Season
The Oklahoma City Thunder have inked a rest-of-season deal with free agent center Bismack Biyombo, providing them with added frontcourt depth behind Chet Holmgren. Biyombo, who previously played 30 games (27 starts) with the Memphis Grizzlies this season, brings experience and solid numbers to the Thunder, averaging 5.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks.
The Thunder are facing challenges with rebounding, ranking 26th overall and 29th in offensive rebounds, which opponents have been exploiting. The addition of Bismack Biyombo aims to bolster their center position and provide much-needed size to address this weakness.
