According to reports, Kyle Lowry has reached an agreement for a buyout with the Charlotte Hornets and is set to sign a $2.8 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Signing with the Sixers would mark a return home for Lowry, who hails from North Philadelphia and played college basketball at Villanova University. Reuniting with former Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse, with whom he won an NBA title in 2019, adds another layer of familiarity.

At 37, Lowry is expected to provide valuable depth as a backup point guard behind All-Star Tyrese Maxey.
