NBA veteran and five-time All-Star John Wall expresses his desire to join the Miami Heat.

John Wall, residing in Miami and close pals with Heat's Bam Adebayo, eyes a potential move to the team. With Wall maintaining NBA fitness, it's a storyline to watch for potential signing by Pat Riley.

Originally drafted by the Washington Wizards as the first overall pick in 2010, Wall became one of the league's premier players during his prime, earning five All-Star nods, an All-NBA selection, and an All-Defensive team spot with the Wizards. However, injuries hampered his career, sidelining him for the entirety of the 2019-20 season after limited play in 2018-19. Traded to the Houston Rockets in December 2020, Wall left the Wizards with impressive franchise stats, averaging 19.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 9.2 assists, 1.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks.

In the 2020-21 season, Wall played 40 games for the Rockets, averaging 20.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks. He chose to sit out the entire 2021-22 season, mutually agreeing with the Rockets due to their rebuilding phase.

Following his release from the Rockets in the 2022 offseason, Wall signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he appeared in 34 games, averaging 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.4 blocks. Traded back to the Rockets in February 2023, he was waived and remains unsigned.

A speedster in his prime, Wall boasts career averages of 18.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.7 blocks across stints with the Wizards, Rockets, and Clippers, ranking eighth all-time in assists per game.

Currently, the Miami Heat stand at 35-29, occupying the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference.
