Jaylen Brown trying to change culture of NBA with Major Decision

The NBA All Star game has become so much different than in past season, the Stars who play and don't play, the effort given during the game, and the lack of interest in performing in the Dunk Contest. Gone are the days of superstars like Michael Jordan competing with ridiculous dunks and sending crowds into a frenzy. Players are too worried about their brand, chance of injury, to perform in these events anymore. Jaylen Brown is out to change that narrative.

Brown is the highest profile player to compete in the dunk contest in quite a few years. He signed the richest contract in the NBA last summer and is still out there throwing down crazy dunks for the fan's enjoyment. Brown has not lost sight of the reason they play this game, the fans. They play to entertain, the play to bring joy to a city and a fanbase. Players at some point lost sight of that and compete for money, and reputation. Hopefully Browns gesture towards the all-star game changes how people look at it, or at least it's a start. Could you imagine an All-Star Dunk Contest, featuring the like of Lebron James, Jason Tatum, Luka and Doncic? Fans can only dream!
