Exclusive : Luka Doncic Breaks Silence on the Drama with Devin Booker
Luka Doncic, the standout player for the Dallas Mavericks, recently returned as a guest on The Old Man & the Three podcast. During the conversation, Doncic touched on various subjects, including his remarkable 73-point performance against the Atlanta Hawks. Host JJ Redick also delved into Doncic's current dynamic with Phoenix Suns standout Devin Booker, known for their notable rivalry.
"It's good, last time we played we didn't have a fight, it wasn't me and him, Yeah I told him for one time it's not us," Doncic conveyed to Redick.
The Mavericks and Suns faced off twice this season. Dallas secured a 128-114 victory on Christmas Day, with Luka contributing 50 points and 15 assists. However, the Suns responded with a 132-109 win in late January, led by Booker's 46-point performance.
While the rivalry between Booker and Doncic has been relatively quiet this season, both players seem to elevate their game when they face each other. The two teams are set to clash again on February 22 in Dallas, with both aiming to win the season series. Given their competitiveness, it wouldn't be surprising to see Doncic and Booker meet again in the 2024 NBA playoffs.
