Even amid fasting, Irving showcased his brilliance in Dallas' Sunday clash against the reigning champions, the Denver Nuggets.
Playing a hefty 40 minutes, he tallied 24 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists. In a stunning display of skill, Irving sealed the victory with a left-handed buzzer-beating floater, securing a 107-105 win and improving the Mavs' record to 39-29 for the season.
Overcoming hunger, thirst, and fatigue, Irving attributes his energy and determination to perform at his peak to his faith in Allah, expressing gratitude and admiration.
"To be able to play 48 minutes and not do it with having a drink or any food in my stomach is nothing short of a miracle. So there's a universal god out there that's protecting me and I got to give credit to him," Kyrie said.
