This Washington Wizard has Made a Decision About Their 2023 1st Round Pick
Bilal Coulibaly of the Washington Wizards will not be available for the rest of the NBA season.
Sunday evening saw the Washington Wizards suffer a home defeat to the Boston Celtics, with a final score of 130-104. Rookie Bilal Coulibaly was absent from the game, and it has been confirmed that he will be sidelined for the rest of the 2023-24 NBA season."Official: Bilal Coulibaly will miss the remainder of the regular season after being diagnosed with a right wrist fracture. The injury, which will be treated conservatively, was suffered when Coulibaly fell during the game on March 16 at Chicago."

The Indiana Pacers drafted Coulibaly as the seventh overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft and subsequently traded his rights to the Washington Wizards in exchange for two future second-round picks and the draft rights to Jarace Walker. He officially signed with the Wizards on July 2nd, 2023, and participated in the 2023 NBA Summer League with the team, where he averaged 12.3 points and 4.8 rebounds across four games.
Coulibaly made his NBA debut for the Wizards on October 25, 2023, during the season opener against the Indiana Pacers, contributing three points, four rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in 23 minutes of play, despite a 143-120 loss. Just five days later, on October 30, 2023, in a matchup against the Boston Celtics, Coulibaly became the youngest player in Wizards franchise history to start a game at the age of 19 years and 96 days.
In December 2023, during a game against the Brooklyn Nets, Coulibaly achieved his first double-double with the Wizards, scoring 11 points and securing 10 rebounds.
