Dallas Mavericks Key Player Will Be Out For Several Weeks
According to Mavs head coach Jason Kidd, the Dallas Mavericks will be missing a crucial rotation player for a minimum of two weeks. Josh Green is sidelined due to a severe right ankle sprain.
While defending in transition on Thursday, Green accidentally stepped on another player's foot, resulting in a serious injury that will likely keep him sidelined for the remainder of March. Despite recently losing his starting spot to Derrick Jones, the absence of the fourth-year player will leave Dallas without a perimeter defender for the next few weeks.Earlier in the season, Green was sidelined for a month from early December to early January due to an elbow injury. Throughout the season, he has rotated between coming off the bench and starting for Dallas.
In his 54 appearances, the fourth-year wing has maintained averages of 8.5 points while shooting over 40% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he has secured 3.2 rebounds per game in 26.6 minutes of play.
