Report : Chicago Bulls sign Javonte Green for rest of season
According to sources, ESPN reports that the Chicago Bulls are extending the contract of G/F Javonte Green for the rest of the season. Green rejoined the Bulls on a 10-day deal and has played three games since.
In the previous matchup against the Hawks, he was absent due to personal reasons. Green has appeared in three games for Chicago this season, maintaining averages of 5.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, with shooting percentages of 54.5% from the field and 60.0% from beyond the arc.
Currently positioned as the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls hold a 36-39 record through 75 games. They have maintained a 5-5 record over their last ten games and recently secured a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 109-101 at the Target Center.
After a tough defeat against the injury-depleted Hawks, the Bulls find themselves with an identical record. They have six games left, three of which are against the Knicks, known for their competitiveness. With star players Lonzo Ball and Zach LaVine out for the season, the team needs all the support they can get. Green's defensive tenacity and familiarity with the system likely influenced the Bulls' choice to keep him on board.
