Atlanta Hawks' guard Trae Young faces a minimum four-week absence following a ligament tear in his left pinkie, as revealed by an MRI. Surgery to address the tear is scheduled for Tuesday, with a reevaluation slated after four weeks, as announced by the Hawks on Sunday.

At 25 years old, Young has been the standout performer for the team this season, averaging 26.4 points and 10.8 assists across 51 games. However, in Atlanta's recent 123-121 loss to the Toronto Raptors, he was held to just 11 points, shooting 4-of-13 from the floor.

As of Sunday, the Hawks hold a three-game advantage for the last spot in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament, despite suffering three consecutive losses.
