Fournier has made it known for a while now he wanted out of Ney York, and he was granted that request at the deadline. Some players wouldn't be too happy with being traded to the worst team in the league, who has since given away two of their best players. But Fournier sees this as an opportunity to play with young talent and be a mentor. He sees positive change happening in Detroit and is happy to be a part of it. The 31-year-old former first round pick of the Denver Nuggets is averaging 4.0 points this year with 1.3 rebounds and 1 assist in limited playing time in New York. He will hope to increase those numbers and his minutes in Detroit.
