Damian Lillard overtakes NBA Hall of Famer in made 3-pointers
Damian Lillard's exceptional shooting range continues to propel him up the record books. The Milwaukee Bucks All-Star extended his ascent on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers, overtaking Hall of Famer Reggie Miller for fourth place on the NBA's all-time list of made 3-pointers.
Lillard is set for his ninth season with at least 200 made 3-pointers, matching Golden State's Klay Thompson for the second-most seasons of this kind (9) in NBA history, trailing only Stephen Curry.
The top three spots on the list pose the greatest challenge to surpass. James Harden, currently with the LA Clippers, holds third place, with over 300 more made 3s than Lillard. Ray Allen and Curry, the league's all-time leader, occupy the top positions.
Lillard's All-Star performance has contributed to reshaping the character of the 2021 NBA title-winning Bucks. Under the guidance of new head coach Doc Rivers, Milwaukee is also revitalizing its once-formidable defense. The team currently holds a solid position in the top three of the Eastern Conference, vying with Cleveland for the second spot with slightly over a month left in the regular season.
