When the Miami Heat signed Victor Oladipo they had high hopes for the star. On average he puts up 17.5 points a game, with 4.6 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Heat was excited to see what he could bring them.

And that lasted all of four games. He got injured during the 2020-2021 season and hasn't been back yet.

But it looks like he may be back sooner than expected. His doctor, Jonathan Glashow, told ESPN that things are looking very good and we might be seeing Oladipo before Christmas.

«I repaired the quad tendon and did it a little differently than [he had] it done before. The quad wasn't really hooked up. It was torn, and I reattached it. I was amazed he was playing with what he had. I'm very optimistic that I could clear him in six months, by November. I think he's going to play really well again. [The surgery] went extremely well, and it's healing beautifully. I'm confident he'll play next year.»

The Heat signed Oladipo to a one-year deal this offseason so they could keep him around in hopes that he could finally show off what he has to offer. According to his doc, he will be showing that off sooner rather than later. Oladipo has always been a player wanting to prove himself. It sounds like he will be able to do that before 2021 is finished.
