Lakers Star willing to take a pay-cut to stay with the historic franchise.

According to the Athletic, Lakers star and free agent Malik Monk will reportedly take a pay cut and stay with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers can offer Monk about 6.2 million dollars for next year, however if Monk tests the free agency he can get around the 10 million dollars mark.

In a recent interview with the Athletic Malik Monk praised the Lakers organization and talked about getting a paycut.

They might not be able to pay me as much as I want, but I could be here and be way more comfortable as a Laker then going to any other team

This signing will get the ball rolling for the Lakers in a huge offseason where they are looking to refurbish the team after a dissapointing season last year.
