Carmelo Anthony spent two seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. His time with the Blazers is one of the most important part of his NBA career.

Anthony revived his NBA career during his time with the Blazers. The 10-time NBA All-Star almost think of retirement way back in 2019 after being left unsigned for more than one year.

The former scoring champion did not play as single NBA game from November of 2018 to November of 2019. After signing with the Houston Rockets, Anthony was traded by the team to the Chicago Bulls after playing for just 10 games. The Bulls then waived him.

Anthony thought of quitting basketball until the Portland Trail Blazers signed him to a 10-day contract in November of 2019. And the rest is history.

Anthony posted an emotional message for Portland's organization and fans.

He uploaded photos of him playing for the Blazers with a caption:

Portland, all I can say is thank you. Thank you for letting me love the game of basketball again. Thank you for welcoming me into your community, and supporting me both on the court and in your city. These two years were some of the most important ones of my career, and for that I'll always be grateful. #STAYME7O

Melo is now 37 years old but has a good chance of winning a ring in LA with his friend, LeBron.
