Alex Caruso Sends His Last Message To Lakers Organization and Fans After Signing With The Bulls

After spending four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, Alex Caruso has officially left the Lakers and signed with the Chicago Bulls. Caruso was willing to accept less money to stay with the Lakers but the team doesn't seemed to be interested on signing the fiery guard. He then quickly chose Chicago and has reportedly signed a four-year, $37 million deal.

The fan favorite posted a long heartfelt message to his former team on Instagram:

"Where to begin.. the past 4 years in LA have been nothing short of special. Allowing an undrafted kid from College Station, Texas to create a career playing basketball in the NBA. Thank you to the SBL and LAL front offices, all my SBL and LAL coaches, and all my teammates for believing in me and allowing me to be myself. I've been privileged to call this prestigious franchise my home and I'll forever be grateful. Lastly, to the fans, THANK YOU! from the jump y'all appreciated my effort and love for the game ..I'm glad I could repay y'all with helping this franchise hoist another banner. We're connected for life 💛💜

Caruso has an incredible journey to the NBA having a major success story for the Lakers. He went undrafted in 2016 NBA draft after finishing a four-year college career with Texas A&M. He first played on Oklahoma City Thunder's G-League team, Oklahoma City Blue and made an impression when he joined the Lakers during the 2017 NBA Summer League. He earned his first ever two-way contract, spending most of his time with the South Bay Lakers on his first year with the Lakers.

His hard-nosed defense and IQ earned him minutes for the Los Angeles Lakers. The 6'4 point guard signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal when Frank Vogel became the coach of the team.

He became one of the best perimeter defender and played a key part on Lakers' 2020 playoff campaign, helping the team win their 17th NBA championship.

Caruso averaged 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1 steal a game during his four-year stay with the Lakers.
