It's official for Russell Westbrook

The Los Angeles Clippers' guard, Russell Westbrook, has recently undergone surgery for a fractured left hand, with the team indicating that his condition will be assessed on a week-to-week basis.

Westbrook sustained the injury during the Clippers' 140-115 win against the Washington Wizards on Friday, possibly while contesting Jordan Poole.

This incident marked Westbrook's first absence of the season, having previously played in every game. He was absent for a second consecutive game as the Clippers faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. Westbrook has been maintaining averages of 11.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 22.6 minutes per game this season.
