Cleveland Cavaliers' guard Donovan Mitchell will sit out the next three games following an announcement by the team on Monday.

Mitchell received a Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injection earlier today at the Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine center to address a left knee bone bruise that kept him out of the Cavaliers' previous two games. His status will undergo evaluation over the weekend, with updates provided as necessary.

Cleveland has struggled without Mitchell, who excelled during Garland and Mobley's absences due to injuries. Despite splitting recent games, the Cavs will miss Mitchell's presence against the Celtics, Hawks, and Timberwolves this week. He could return when Cleveland faces Brooklyn on Sunday. Mitchell, averaging 28.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, plays a vital role for the third-placed Cavs in the Eastern Conference.
