Wembenyama InjuryAs revealed by NBA insider Marc Stein, the Spurs' next match against the Pelicans will not feature the number 1 pick, Victor Wembenyama. This will be the first regular season match that Victor hasn't played since being drafted earlier this year.
The reason for Wembenyama's absence has been revealed to be concerning his health, as the French star is allegedly suffering from right hip tightness.

Wembenyama Health Concerns
While he has shown no previous signs of concern, health has historically been an issue for the majority of NBA stars who stand over 7 feet tall. At 7'6, Wembenyama could very well fall into this basketball trope; however, this current injury does not seem too severe, with no implications for him missing further matches following New Orleans.
At just 19 years old, his body is expected to be more durable than many NBA veterans. With his intensely strict diet and workout routine, Wembenyama appears to be taking his NBA career very seriously as he prepares to make it last as long as possible.
