The Sacramento Kings signed guard Mason Jones to a two-way contract on Friday.

Jones went undrafted out of Arkansas in 2020, has played in 36 games in the NBA for the Rockets, 76ers and Lakers. He averaged 5.8 points and 1.7 rebounds. He last was seen in the NBA in 2021-2022 with the Lakers.

Jones has been playing for the Kings NBAGL Affiliate Stockton since December. In his time there he has averaged 12.8 Points, 6.2 Assists and 3.3 rebounds in 27.9 minutes per game.

The Kings are hoping his hot scoring touch he has found with the G league will translate into the NBA and help the Kings take a step forward towards the post season.

The Kings had an open two-way spot after promoting Keon Ellis to a standard deal, so no corresponding roster move will be necessary to add Jones.
