Joel Embiid is going to be entering the postseason as a healthy player for the Philadelphia 76ers, but he is still working on getting his conditioning back to where it needs to be.
According to Clutch Points, Joel Embiid had himself 37 points against the Detroit Pistons last night. Overall, it was a great for him, especially as he continues to get better following a meniscus injury. In fact, Embiid had a lot to say after the game about how he felt in regards to his knee."Third quarter, I was starting to feel it and we made our run and then I just told myself this is the moment to push it. Perfect time: game tight, coming back, we were only up three or four at that time and that was the perfect time to push. I pushed and we were able to build the lead. It felt good to push through it."
From there, Embiid also noted that his conditioning won't come back just because he needs it to. Instead, it is going to take reps and playing time to get him back to where he needs to be.

"Playing. Playing as many minutes as possible. Those two games, tonight, over 30 minutes. The next one, I hope the game's not close. But if it is, to go over that 35-minute mark. Try and get to 40 and then the last game of the season, same thing. Just keep trying to build up. I don't have the luxury of doing things on off days because I gotta limit the load. But I just gotta use those games for that."
At this stage, there is no guarantee that the Sixers even make the postseason. They are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference which means they would have to take part in the play-in tournament.
