Isaiah Hartenstein Expresses Desire to Remain with New York Knicks
New York Knicks' center Isaiah Hartenstein reportedly aims to re-sign in free agency, as per Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype. According to insights from multiple NBA executives, Hartenstein could potentially secure a salary of about $13 million annually in free agency this summer, equivalent to the full non-taxpayer mid-level exception.
In the Bulls' 108-100 victory on Friday, Hartenstein concluded the game with 10 points (3-5 FG, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block, and three steals in 29 minutes of play. While not consistently achieving double-doubles, Hartenstein possesses the ability to contribute across various statistical categories, showcasing his versatility on both offense and defense, especially when given a starting position.
"I'm focused on what I'm doing right now. I know I've put myself in a great position to get a little upgrade," Hartenstein told Hoops Hype. "Right now, I'm focused on the Knicks. I love it here, and hopefully, we'll figure something out, but at the end of the day, business is business."
