Rudy Gobert livid with Alex Caruso, promises retribution

Rudy Gobert is easily one of the best defenders in the entire NBA. Overall, he has been one of the main reasons why the Minnesota Timberwolves have been so successful this season.

Having said that, Gobert was not enjoying himself on Sunday night as his team took on the Chicago Bulls. In the end, it was the Bulls who came out on top with a 109-101 win. Gobert finished off the game with 19 points and 10 rebounds. It was a respectable performance, but not the end result the team was hoping for. After all, they are currently in a heated three-way battle for first place in the Western Conference.

Throughout the game, there was lots of physical play, and Gobert took exception to one particular action from none other than Alex Caruso. In the video clip down below, you can see Caruso run into Gobert. You can see Gobert's leg buckle, and he is lucky he didn't get injured worse. After the game, Gobert revealed just how upset he was with Caruso, noting that next time something like that happens, he will retaliate.






Gobert is one of those players who has been tested by his peers often. Some have even labeled him as "soft." However, he very clearly resents that label, and is ready to start showing people that he is as strong as anyone else. Either way, the next matchup between the Bulls and Timberwolves should prove to be interesting.

Meanwhile, The T-Wolves remain third in the Western Conference with a record of 51-23. No one expected them to be this good this season, especially as they spent numerous months in first place in the Western Conference. Now, they find themselves battling the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder for that top spot.
