Report: Kevin Porter secures a basketball deal
Kevin Porter Jr., previously with the Houston Rockets, has reached an agreement to join Greek team PAOK BC, as per reports from Shams Charania and Kelly Iko of The Athletic.
After being traded by the Rockets to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Porter faced legal issues and was subsequently released in October. He later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and harassment charges in January, avoiding jail time with a treatment program and an order of protection.Selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2019 NBA draft, Porter's career has been marred by off-court incidents despite showing promise on the court. He faced legal trouble in November 2020 and was traded by the Cavaliers in January 2021 following disagreements with team officials.
Subsequently, with the Houston Rockets, Porter faced disciplinary actions from the NBA for protocol violations and reported altercations with coaching staff. The Rockets eventually traded him, ending his tenure after just over a year from signing a significant contract extension.

While Porter's return to the NBA remains uncertain, his passion for basketball is evident. However, given his past behavior, the likelihood of an NBA team signing him appears slim. Nonetheless, if he addresses his conduct and demonstrates growth over time, there's potential for a comeback.
