Karl-Anthony Towns of the Timberwolves set to make a comeback on Fri
According to sources from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns, sidelined since March 4 due to a left knee meniscus tear, is anticipated to make his comeback against the Atlanta Hawks at home this Friday. Towns, who underwent surgery four weeks ago, has been officially upgraded to questionable for the upcoming game after receiving clearance for full-contact, 5-on-5 basketball activities on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will wrap up their regular season against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
This return is significant for the Timberwolves, who presently lead the Western Conference standings. Before his injury, Towns was having a stellar season, averaging 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists, greatly contributing to Minnesota's success. The combination of Towns and Rudy Gobert in the frontcourt had started to show promise after facing challenges last season.
"KAT coming back," Edwards said. "KAT will be back."

Despite Towns' absence, the Wolves have managed an 11-6 record, tying with Oklahoma City at 55-25, just one game behind Denver (56-24) in the Western Conference standings. With Towns likely returning to full strength as the playoffs approach, the Timberwolves pose a considerable threat in the West.
With Karl-Anthony Towns back in action, the Wolves have a shot at a deep playoff run, marking a shift from his injury-prone past. Now boasting a complete squad, their performance promises an intriguing narrative, having maintained a top-three seed position all season.
