Steph Curry is easily the most important player on the Golden State Warriors, however, that is not stopping Steve Kerr from giving him some rest on Sunday against the Utah Jazz.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Curry might not be the only one out today. In fact, Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins have been hit with questionable status. As for the reason why Curry is out today is that they simply want to give him some rest. Although this does come at a crucial time in the season considering the Warriors are 10th in the Western Conference.

"Steph Curry is out tomorrow at home against the Jazz. The Warriors are resting him. Curry is at 71 games played this season. Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga are questionable. Gary Payton II is probable."

Their record right now is 42-35 which in any other year or conference, would probably be enough to make the postseason outright. However, this year is a lot different. The Western Conference is absolutely loaded, and if the season ended today, the Warriors would be in a play-in game against the Sacramento Kings. If they were to win that, they would then have to win another match just to become the eighth seed.

Let us know if you think the Warriors can still go on a playoff run, in the poll below. Additionally, you can stay tuned to Basketball Patrol for the latest news and updates from around the NBA world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite players and teams.
