Michael Malone issued a statement regarding one of his star players
During a game against the Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter after accidentally stepping on teammate Aaron Gordon's foot. He left the game early with a significant limp and was questionable to return.
Per Nuggets head coach Michael Malone, Murray considered returning to the game after halftime but was dissatisfied with his ankle's response. Malone commended Murray's choice not to re-enter the game.In the post-game interview, here's what Malone had to say.
«It's great for him to realize being cautious right now is being the prudent decision. And that shows maturity, The question is never can you go play, it's can you play effectively? «He's one of the toughest guys I've ever been around, Mentally, physically. He can play through things that a lot of guys wouldn't even consider playing through.»
