Uh-oh, trouble's brewing for the Nuggets.

The champs were expected to cruise through the West, but the Timberwolves had other plans. They swooped into Denver and snagged Game 1, leaving everyone waiting for the Nuggets to bounce back in Game 2.



The Wolves were missing their defensive maestro, Rudy Gobert, off celebrating the arrival of his first kiddo. But that didn't slow them down one bit. They stormed ahead with a massive 26-point lead in the first half, leaving the Nuggets scratching their heads.


And frustration? It was written all over the Nuggets' faces. Jamal Murray, their star guard, let his feelings loose, chucking a heat pack onto the court mid-play during the second quarter.



Thankfully, Murray dodged a bullet as nobody seemed to notice his outburst. But man, things were heated on both ends. The refs let 'em play, but that didn't stop the Nuggets from bickering with the officials all through the first half. Funny thing is, despite the drama, the Wolves got whistled for fewer fouls than the Nuggets.

Murray? He was ice-cold in the first half, managing just two points on a dismal 1-of-10 shooting.
