Yo, guess what? Victor Wembanyama just snagged the NBA Rookie of the Year award for 2023-24, announced Monday night by the league. Dude was already the frontrunner for this before the season even kicked off, and now he's following in Paolo Banchero's footsteps from last year as the second back-to-back No. 1 overall pick to scoop up the trophy. Plus, he's extending this insane streak of top-five picks winning the award to seven years, joining the likes of Banchero, Scottie Barnes, LaMelo Ball, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, and Ben Simmons in that elite club.

Wembanyama swept the voting, bagging all 99 first-place votes. Chet Holmgren from the Thunder gave him a run for his money early on but had to settle for second place with 98 out of 99 second-place votes. And shoutout to Brandon Miller from the Hornets, last year's No. 2 pick, who came in third. Here's the lowdown on the voting: Victor Wembanyama copped all 99 first-place votes from the media squad, making him the first rookie since Karl-Anthony Towns in 2015-16 to snag a unanimous Rookie of the Year nod.

Now, peep this: Wembanyama's stat line is off the charts. He's up there with legends like David Robinson and Shaquille O'Neal, racking up at least 1,000 points and 150 blocks in his first 50 games. And get this, he's the first baller to ever clock in with 150 blocks, 150 assists, and 75 triples in a single season, and he did it in just 48 games.

Here's the kicker: If the Spurs weren't snoozing this season, Wembanyama would've been a legit contender for Defensive Player of the Year. Their D was five points tighter with him on the court compared to when he was chilling on the bench.

And this is just the beginning, fam. Wembanyama's just getting warmed up. He's been leveling up like crazy all through his rookie season, and now he's got a whole offseason to iron out the kinks in his game. Scary thought for the rest of the NBA, ain't it? The dude's averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 boards, 3.9 dimes, and 3.6 rejections per game in 71 starts for his debut season. Watch out, world!
