Trade Alert : Pacers and Sixers Strike Deal for Star Shooting Guard
The Philadelphia 76ers are poised to kick off their trade deadline activities, with reports from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski indicating a deal with the Indiana Pacers to acquire veteran sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
In exchange for Hield, the Sixers are anticipated to part ways with veterans Marcus Morris and Furkan Korkmaz, along with multiple second-round picks heading to the Pacers.
Hield's addition offers the Sixers a reliable three-point threat, despite a slightly lower shooting average from beyond the arc this season compared to his career average of 40 percent. Having played 52 games for the Pacers this season, Hield has averaged 12 points and three assists in nearly 26 minutes per game, providing valuable support for a burgeoning Pacers squad.
Now, Hield joins the Sixers, bolstering their backcourt and offering crucial assistance moving forward.
