Official: Jazz and Pistons Agree to Trade
Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Jazz have traded Italian small forward Simone Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons for a 2024 second-round pick.
Additionally, Kevin Knox, a 2024 second-round pick from the Wizards, and the draft rights to Gabriele Procida are headed to the Jazz in the deal, sources tell ESPN.
Fontecchio joined the NBA's Utah Jazz on a two-year contract on July 17, 2022, making his debut on October 19.
Notably, he clinched a game-winning dunk against the Golden State Warriors on December 7, leading to a 124–123 victory. Fontecchio achieved a career-high of 24 points with an 87% field goal percentage against the Portland Trail Blazers on December 14, 2023. He matched this feat on January 2, 2024, during a 127–90 triumph over the Dallas Mavericks.
