Mavericks Make Major Move: Acquire Starting Power Forward
The Dallas Mavericks have reached an agreement to bring PJ Washington from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry, and a protected 2027 first-round pick.
Washington secured a lucrative three-year, $48 million deal with the Hornets last offseason after proving himself as a restricted free agent.
The Mavericks obtained Williams through a sign-and-trade deal worth four years and $54 million, which involved a pick swap in 2030.
Curry joined Dallas on a two-year, $8 million contract in 2023, adding depth to their roster.
Meanwhile, the Hornets acquired an additional 2027 first-round pick in their trade of Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat, further strengthening their future prospects.
