Unexpected: This Clippers Player Wants Out
Reportedly, ahead of the February 8 trade deadline, veteran forward P.J. Tucker of the Los Angeles Clippers is seeking a trade.
As the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat are primed to engage in trade talks ahead of the deadline, aiming to enhance their competitiveness against rivals like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks.Among the potential moves discussed is a reunion with veteran forward P.J. Tucker. On the 'Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective' podcast, Ohm Youngmisuk from ESPN mentioned.
''I'm not saying they're gonna make a massive move, but they did just get Ivica Zubac back against Miami, And so now they have three bigs. And of course they do have P.J. Tucker who wants to be traded, has made no secret about that. He even told me that just last week in Toronto. I think his words were ‘actively looking to get traded.''
Following Tucker's Instagram post from Miami Beach with the caption "Home Sweet Home," reports emerged. Despite struggling for playing time since leaving the Heat in 2022, the Clippers forward has shown leadership skills. Notably, Tucker played a significant role in the Milwaukee Bucks' 2021 championship, averaging nearly 30 minutes per game.
