Lakers Emerge as Favorites to Acquire a Superstar from Chicago

The Chicago Bulls have not reached the heights many thought they could with their current group of stars. This has led fans and now NBA organizations to wonder if a particular star could be on the market.

Bulls To Make Struggling Star Available?

Earlier today it was announced that several NBA teams have been checking in on the availability of Bulls star guard Zach Lavine.



Lavine has been a huge piece of what the Bulls have been trying to build for several years now. Unfortunately for himself and Chicago things just aren't working. The Bulls currently sit 11th in the Eastern Conference at 4-7. Individually Lavine's 21.9 points per game is his lowest since 2017-18.

With all of this in mind, a fresh start for both sides might be in order and one big-time team is reportedly interested.

Lakers Emerge As A Favorite

Since the reports of Lavine being potentially available have surfaced a few teams have already been linked to the star.



Of these teams, the Lakers have gained the most steam in a Lavine acquisition. Lavine would add a much-needed scoring punch to the Lakers lineup. He would be able to take some of the scoring pressure off of LeBron James.

Lavine is also not necessarily a ball-dominant player so he could play well with the other star players such as LeBron when they are on the court together.

The Lakers who are currently 8th in the West could use a boost and Lavine could be the perfect splash to get them back into title contention
