Demarcus Cousins Returns For a SHOCKING New Team
DeMarcus Cousins is one of the biggest 'what-if' players of the last decade, with multiple injuries halting a stellar NBA career for the big man. Despite his health troubles, he is continuing to play and has now returned professionally after signing with a shocking new team.
Cousins Health StrugglesAfter making four All-Star appearances and earning two All-NBA nominations, Cousins's career took a downhill turn after his time with the Pelicans. Unable to stay healthy and find consistent form in the limited times he did play, Cousins became a journeyman, switching around the NBA multiple times and playing short minutes for teams like the Warriors, Nuggets, Bucks, Clippers, and Rockets.
Well over a year since his last NBA appearance, Cousins has now signed with a new team, following in the footsteps of another great NBA Big man.
Cousins New Team
As revealed by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Cousins is set to make a move overseas, joining the Taiwan Beer Leopards. The deal, for now, is just a 10-day contract. This could be a sign of the Leopards' concern over his health or an indicator that Cousins himself is eyeing an NBA return and is using this opportunity to prove himself.

Taiwan
The T1 League was formed in 2021 and is the third men's basketball league in Taiwan, yet it has become the most notorious of the three despite its short existence. The main reason for this was the addition of former Defensive Player of the Year, Dwight Howard, who also played for the Beer Leopards just last season.
Now, the Leopards are replacing one former NBA big man with another as they aim to continue growing their league into a worldwide brand.
