Isaiah Thomas And The Phoenix Suns Have Reached An Agreement

Isaiah Thomas is making a comeback to the NBA.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the 35-year-old guard has signed a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns. Thomas previously played for the franchise during the 2014-2015 season.



The 11-year veteran spent a year and a half away from basketball before joining the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, in early March. Over four games, he averaged 32.5 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.

Prior to that, Thomas last played in the 2021-22 season, representing three NBA teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets, averaging 8.4 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 rebounds in 22 games.

A two-time All-Star, Thomas also had a stint in the G League that season, where he posted averages of 41.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in three games.

His most notable season came with the Boston Celtics in 2016-2017, where he averaged 28 points and 6 assists, marking the pinnacle of his career.
