Anthony Edwards asserts that none of the players are interested in competing in the All-Star Game; rather, he sees it as a break.

The 2024 NBA All-Star Game turned out to be a significant disappointment. In a lackluster affair, the East triumphed over the West with a score of 211-186, characterized by a noticeable absence of effort from the players. Following the game, Anthony Edwards shared some intriguing remarks.

"For me, it's an All-Star Game, so I don't think I will ever look at it like being super competitive. It's always fun. I don't know what they can do to make it more competitive. It's always fun. But I don't know what they can do to make it more competitive. It's a break. I don't think nobody wants to come here and compete."

NBA stars are reportedly seeking compensation for their participation in the All-Star Game. Edwards, along with most other participants, admitted they were unsure how to enhance the game's competitiveness. However, recent reports indicate that paying players for their involvement could be a solution. Currently, winners receive $100,000 per player, while losers get $25,000 each.

These figures are deemed inadequate, with players potentially aiming for compensation closer to what is offered in the In-Season Tournament, where winning team members receive $500,000 each. Additionally, another proposal to boost competitiveness involves granting the winning conference home-court advantage in the NBA Finals.
