The Los Angeles Lakers were able to re-sign restricted free agent guard Talen Horton-Tucker. They have also surprisingly signed former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn.

THT and Nunn both played at Simeon High School in Chicago. They have also played against each other in the Miami Heat-LA Lakers 2020 NBA Finals series in NBA Bubble in Orlando. Although THT didn't play much in that series.

Now that they're teammates in LA, THT and Nunn have a chance to play at the same time on Lakers' backcourt.

Back in November 2020, Nunn and THT took part in a workout in Miami with NBA skills trainer Ronnie Taylor.

THT and Nunn are projected to be the bench backcourt tandem for the Lakers.

THT who is just 20 years old, has a still a lot of potential to be a star for the Lakers. Last season, he averaged 9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1 steal in 20.1 minutes per game. The biggest flaw on his game is his outside shooting. He just shot 29% from behind the arc last season.

Nunn, who surprisingly signed with the Lakers, went undrafted in 2018 but was signed by the Heat in 2019. He has a good rookie and sophomore season with the Heat, averaging 15 points, almost 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal in 123 regular season games he played for Miami. He averaged a 46/36/88 shooting splits during his stay with his former team.

Th addition of Lowry and Oladipo for the Heat could be one of the main factors why Nunn left Miami.
