VIDEO: Kobe Bryant Trash Talked Luis Scola In Spanish, LeBron James Told Him To Chill

LeBron James and Kobe Bryant first played together for USA Basketball in 2008 Beijing Olympics.

In their game against Argentina, Kobe decided to use his ability to talk in different languages. He trash talked Luis Scola who was then playing for Houston Rockets in NBA.

Kobe spoke in fluent Spanish to insult Scola in his native language.

"me encanta Scola... Así me gusta"
"I love it scola, thats how I like it"


Scola didn't backed down and responded to Kobe's trash talk:

"habla en inglés, te va mejor"
"Speak in English, you do that better".

Kobe then replied, telling Scola:

"I'mma show you what language I speak...I'll make sure you understand this."


Kobe learned to speak Spanish thru his wife Vanessa. Vanessa is of Mexican and Irish, English, German descent.

LeBron James saw and heard Kobe and Scola's exchange of words.

He told Kobe relax a little, and keep it on the court.
