Utah Jazz open for another mega trade
After previously shutting down inquiries on moving All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, rival teams say the Utah Jazz are showing a willingness to listen on possible trade scenarios, sources tell ESPN.
Donovan Mitchell is an American professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz. He was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 13th overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft and was traded on draft night to the Utah Jazz. During his rookie season,
Mitchell was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and won the 2018 Slam Dunk Contest. Mitchell is a three-time NBA All-Star.
The 6 ft 1 in, 215 lb (98 kg) helped the Utah Jazz, with French center Rudy Gobert, to clinch the number one seed in the NBA in the 2020-2021 season. However, even with being the top team, Mitchell and Gobert were not able to perform in the playoffs getting defeated to the L.A Clippers in 6 games in the second round.
Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves earlier this month in return for:
Malik Beasley
Patrick Beverley
Leandro Bolmaro
Walker Kessler (No. 22 pick in 2022 Draft)
Jarred Vanderbilt
2023 first-round pick
2025 first-round pick
2026 pick swap
2027 first-round pick
2029 first-round pick
Lots of rumors were saying that the Utah Jazz wanted to build around Donovan but with this update, a full rebuild might now be their primarly objectif.
