USA Eliminated From FIBA world Cup

Team USA was eliminated from the FIBA World Cup today after a tight loss to Germany in the semifinals. While Germany's roster does contain NBA talents such as Dennis Schroder and Franz Wagner, the USA was expected to beat the European side and was favored to win the whole tournament.

This marks the second straight World Cup now that the United States has failed to win, and they may not even finish as medalists at all, given that their opponents for the third-place matchup are North American rivals Canada, who were also shockingly defeated by a European nation in their semifinals matchup.

With Team USA falling short internationally and the rise of European stars in the NBA, such as Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic, could this mark the end of the United States dominating basketball globally?
