Two Lakers Are On The Trading Block
Although it's only been one year since their championship run, the Los Angeles Lakers are in rebuilding mode. They have a lot of options to weigh after their disappointing first-round loss to the Suns in the playoffs.
They need some help, there is no doubt about it. But how will they gain it? Who are they willing to trade in order to build a stronger team around LeBron James and Anthony Davis? According to a new report, both Kyle Kuzma and Dennis Schroder are the most likely candidates to be sent away.Jake Fischer reports that the Lakers are starting to "explore sign-and-trade opportunities" for the point guards. Of all the players LA is willing to trade, Schroder probably has the highest value and could bag them a pretty impressive player in his place.
Fischer states that both Chicago and New York are expected to be the most serious contenders to land Schroder.
Meanwhile, LA is looking to see which other teams are interested in Kuzma. No one is going to claim that Kuzma has a trade value higher than Schroder but he is young, shows promises (at times...), and could really assist the right line-up. Kuzma might not get the Lakers an A-list player but he could fetch them a powerful starter or several bench players.
