The Bulls Are Talking About Getting Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose began his NBA career with the Chicago Bulls. Could he possibly end it there too?
KC Johnson of NBC Sports says that "internal conversations" within the Bulls organization have said that Rose may return to the team that started it all, just as his career is seemingly wrapping up.Here's Johnson:
«It's why secondary targets such as Derrick Rose can't be ruled out. In fact, internal conversations on the viability and fit of the former Bull and former most valuable player have occurred, just as they have with all candidates.»
Derrick Rose has been in New York lately with the Knicks, where he has created 14.9 points a game, with 2.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. It's a long ways from his early days when he was putting up 21 points a night but a lot has changed for the former MVP. Of course, age has caught up with the 32-year-old. But an ACL injury he suffered a few seasons ago really damaged some of his ability and he has been slow to return to his former glory.
His flashes of greatness in New York are earning him interest from several other teams around the league as a potential bench player who could come in clutch when needed. Will Chicago be the ones to gain their former star?
