Terry Rozier Just Signed a Major Contract Extension

Terry Rozier is sticking around in Charlotte for a while.

The promising point guard just signed a four-year, $97 million max contract extension with the Charlotte Hornets. That hefty sum is the biggest total that Rozier can get and keeps him with the team through the 2025-26 season.


Rozier has been an impressive - if sometimes underwhelming - playmaker for the Hornets. Last season saw him putting up 20.4 points a game, including some clutch three-pointers (he's 38.9% from beyond the arc).


Rozier is known for his speed, which is important since the Hornets are really trying to be a young, fast team that can outrun and outshoot the competition. Between Rozier, LaMelo Ball, and Gordon Hayward, the team is really adamant about their decision to focus on a fast tempo.
