Spencer Dinwiddie Will Sign For Either LA Teams
Spencer Dinwiddie's time with Brooklyn is likely over. Dinwiddie is expected to opt out in the last year of his three-year contract with the Nets. He has a player option on the final year of his contract worth $12.3 million.
According to the Daily News, the Nets point guard wants to go home or wants to get the bag.If the reports are true, Dinwiddie is going to sign for either the Lakers or Clippers.
The Clippers have Reggie Jackson and Rajon Rondo as their primary ball handlers in the team. Reggie Jackson is having a phenomenal playoff performance this year and is expected to get paid.
Meanwhile, Dennis Schroder and the Lakers relationship for the past few weeks were deteriorating after an early playoff exit.
Schroder, who declined Lakers contract extension offer midway into the season, expected to get a lot of offer from the other teams even with his sub-par performance in the playoffs.
The Lakers are expected to offer Dinwiddie a contract if Schroder leaves.
Dinwiddie will definitely be an upgrade over Schroder given he's taller, bigger and a better defender. He can be their third option in offense and the primary ball handler when LeBron is on the bench.
