Russell Westbrook going to Los Angeles has more exciting story than it seems.

ESPN's Ramona Shelburne wrote an article about Russell Westbrook going to Los Angeles in 2019.

Shelburne mentioned on her article that Westbrook asked Kawhi to team up in LA.

"Teaming up with Leonard would be the fastest way there, so he placed the call, according to multiple sources. But Leonard didn't just take the call as one native son of Los Angeles to another, ponder it and file it away."

"He used it."

"According to multiple sources, Leonard then called Westbrook's teammate in Oklahoma City, Paul George, and told him he'd rather team up with him on a homecoming."

However, after a call from Westbrook, Kawhi instead called Westbrook's then teammate Paul George in OKC.

Fast forward to present, Westbrook is now in LA and will be teaming up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Kawhi and PG13's partnership didn't produced a championship in their two years together and Kawhi might leave the Clippers this summer.

On the other hand, James and Davis won a championship last year in NBA Bubble in Orlando. Can the Lakers reclaim the throne with Russell Westbrook on their side now?
