Bennedict Mathurin has once again proven that he likes the biggest stages. The Pacers rookie scored a career-high 32 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 125-116 win over the Nets in Brooklyn on Saturday night.The 32 points scored by the 6th overall pick in this season draft represent a high for an NBA rookie this season. It is also a record for the number of points scored by a Canadian player who started the game as a substitute.
The rookie led his team in scoring, adding five rebounds and two assists in the win. Tyrese Haliburton also stood out with 26 points, while Isaiah Jackson took advantage of a rare start to score a brace of 18 points and ten rebounds.
The Pacers thus signed a third victory in seven games, while the Nets already lost a fifth game out of six.
